I love this place.

God, I love this place. I love the way the morning fog sits on the water as I wait for swimmers to arrive, before the sun appears above the trees. I love the parents that allow their children to live in a new place for an entire week, only to leave them with strangers that will soon become family. I love them so much. I love the way I feel when I leave a camper led worship service that can never be duplicated. I love staying up night after night perfecting photos, only to be seen once and to then be lost to the memories of campers I may never meet again. I love the new and old friendships that give me hope for the good in the world. I love to walk the labyrinth in my bare feet, feeling the cold dirt between my toes as I find a moment of quiet. I love the warm colors that fall between the islands as the sun sets each night, and the cold water they rest upon. I love each and every person that is brave enough to come down the camp road for the first time, or for the hundredth time. God I love this place. I am so grateful for summer 2019. The past four years as a Pilgrim Lodge staff member have been nothing short of extraordinary. This summer is no exception. Thank you all for being such an important part of my life.
