TEN MINUTES

The world and all the people in it Are illiterate assholes Even with an education They are still assholes Because for some reason or another Everyone is born a jerk off A loser With a low low I.Q. And spoiled rotten to the millennium core No more real geniuses Or great actors or glamorous movie stars No more great songwriters No more great musicians or singers No more great producers Or movies No more great poets Or great designers No more great inventors No more great builders No more great cooks I’m talking about really great cooks Like my Italian grandmother Who could make a meal out of nothing No more craftsmanship Or quality Or meant to last mentality No more religion or church No more believes in God The Ten Commandments are dead Honesty and loyalty are gone Brotherly love is a thing of the past It’s a rat race to hell and we are all in the race It’s a new world of fast taking motherfuckers That have no clue what they are talking about It’s credit card debt And buried in mortgage payments For the next 30 years Its two thousand dollar cell phones And twenty-five hundred dollar computers That tell us how to live It’s automatic this And automatic that Its security cameras And scanning devices And satellites spying on everyone Phone bugs and bed bugs And long-range missiles staring in and Peeping on our privacy You can’t even fuck your wife in peace It’s are children who want to be rewarded for Doing their homework Hey, dad, I need four hundred dollars a week To buy electronics Get the fuck out of here Your only 7 years old Well, fuck you too dad! I’ll get it from mom! Its liars and cheaters And crooked politicians And higher taxes And water bills And gas bills Out of control health insurance Its fake prescription medicine From china Oncogenic diseased cancerous food Made in a laboratory Its blow jobs on a first date In the front seat of my father’s car And solicitors calling on the phone 24 hours a day How did they get my fucking number! It’s used car salesmen trying to put you In a $35,000.00 car you cannot afford It’s the fuller brush man And the fuller shit man And the con man And the scam man And fake donations To a problem that does not exist Everybody has a price The deferment of compulsion Fake colleges that only want your tuition money Its social media conversations About nothing We are in big trouble I say to my friend What’s it going to be like in the next ten years? And his answer was What’s it going to be like In the next Ten minutes.. Ken Riccio original poems ©
