Passenger

I’m sitting down in the plane, looking out at the bright sky Luckily I have the window seat, so the beautiful scenery isn’t hard to find As I’m exposed to this breathtaking beauty, I can’t help but think “What if it does happen? What if I’m no longer to be?” It’s a matter of life or death, for as long as I am in this seat. I start shaking as the plane starts moving And I’m looking at the people around me They all seem so calm, They don’t seem to be reacting Reacting to the raging engines on the plane that roar as we go up into the sky For they are at peace, taking deep breathes and relaxing, flying high.
