The Deep Blue

Must you step into the deep blue, Crawling up the sugar-made sands? Waiting in the malevolent dark for you, It’s green limbs asking for your hands There once was a fire in your eyes And the blazing sparks in thee, Once sprinkled across the black sky; Now dimming from the fog over this sea Must you step into this deep blue, my love? These waters blend with your sapphire eyes Making it harder to find those stars from above But I can see much farther past your lies I can see through this night you shroud in, I can see past the clouds To find the stars once again, As we lay in the land of the lost and found I found those stars that lit my way Night without true darkness Those sparks ablaze where we lay I cannot bear another night starless So now with all my soul, I plead you; My love- to not to step into the deep blue
