His sharp intake of breath was his way of communicating surprise. There was no usual eyebrow raise or smirk - there wasn't a dimple in sight. To be honest with you, I quite liked it. So I grinned and felt powerful.
"You weren't expecting that question?" I smirked
The crazy boy laughed and smiled back at me shaking his head slightly.
