I watched a star die today
I watched as it faded away
Sweeping darkness in my skies
Much like the new darkness in those eyes
They used to hold so much more
Stories and life were tucked in store
A very soul that they would show
Now a ghost of who I used to know
I watched my star die today
But the dust in the sky won’t wash away
For it will be reborn in this galaxy
A new star shines ever so brightly
