Time

Time passes by As if it has forgotten it needs to stop. It needs to pause in its tracks So I can get my facts They need to be straight, in order I need to reorder Reprogram and reset Needs need to be met Memories folded gently Like little outgrown baby pajamas I need to bottle some newborn smell Pencil shavings and pumpkin cake There are jars that need to be filled with the jam I uses to make. I need hugs to last forever And peace of soul with no endeavors. I need to stop being scared of things ending I need time to stop pretending To be a moment Moments are an increment of being A snowflake melting on your hand, Ow don’t you understand? Time is not fair It is here and it is there It is everywhere and nowhere And I don’t have any to spare.
