MONET’S GARDEN

An explosion of flowers! So many different colors And kinds I did not know And few that I did 🌺 The Sun shines golden here Nursing its worshipers: Snapdragons, Cosmos, and Roses 💐 Sunbursts of golden honey Dappled through the Cherry Trees ☀️ In the middle of a wide array Of blossoms I suggest to my Daughter that, “Now is a good Time to overcome your fear of Bees 🐝 Within Monet’s beloved blue And violet Irises rose an Impertinent, but very handsome Daffodil 🌼 The lily pond is a nice place for Contemplation while standing upon The Japanese bridge above. The Wild Wisteria overhead determined To redo your hairstyle 💇‍♀️ The bamboo forest follows the Meandering brook and the Weeping Willows tease and tickle your arms And legs 🤗 The Sun shines her encouragement On the poppies dressed in red 🌺 It began to rain, a light rain, but All the same, up went an army of Umbrellas! All with their tips, it Seemed, inches from my eyes ☔️ The rain ended as quickly as it Began. The oppressive tent Collapsed to reveal rain-kissed Flowers in reds, pinks and colors Impossible to describe! All Made more vivid by the rain 🌧 The Sun must have been Monet’s Muse as she flickered and flashed On the water in the pond, Ever-changing reflections And as she journeyed from East to west her diminishing rays Caressing the gardens Bathing them in her magic 🌞 As daylight bade a sleepy Goodnight You might hear the Faerie Folk Splashing and playing in the Lily pond ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
