LIE OF THE LAND

Beliefs are not facts. It’s as simple as that. No matter how much you hold credence dear. You can’t skirt the math. What you believe means nothing. It’s what you can prove. Hypotheses, that are evidenced backed. And diligently tested. Whether in real life, on paper, or in a lab. This way of thought is necessary. And is vital for social progression. But has bought down the wrath. Of the unwitting masses. Who made it a habit of believing lies. All in an attempt to avoid the bad. And the hard work that comes with that. Better to buy into the bullshit. That people use to distract. Then to believe your own choices were clumsy and inexact. What does it matter? when people within your echo chamber claim to know what is fact. just a few well-placed questions could serve as proof. To tell you what and whom to trust. And who’s a conman or quack. But then comes the hard work. Of knowing it’s up to you to get on the right track. Admitting to your wrongs. And turn what was a road once badly traveled, into experience. That could guide you and others through the cracks. Where forethought and deductive reasoning tells you which is the true path. Towards a future where you’re no longer living at the edges of cliffs. Or beneath someone’s axe. LIE OF THE LAND “Belief is not a fact” (Corey Taylor)
