The gods hate a coward. Yet they depend on them fervently. For their religions to flower. Those too scared to ask why. So they grow up stunted. their deductive reasoning scoured. And for the pollen that is belief, to spread. Among those to fucking ignorant to notice When the contradictions devour. Indoctrination always works against them. Because by the time they’re old enough to ask questions. They’re at the bottom of golden towers. being looked down upon. by so called higher powers. Living in fear of their judgments and glower. And for a lifetime they’ll remain. Like dogs on chains. With the doubt in their minds growing louder. As the years turn to decades there Cowardice grows Fowler. Turning a blind eye left and right. To the contradictions that sour. Any good that faith does actually gets countered. By stupidity, selfishness and the cruelty. that gets projected outward. Putting those who know better, in a spiral downward. Because there is something better beyond these beliefs. But their too afraid of what they’re leaving behind.
